A free service that allows you to set up your own VPN on a VPS server in just a few clicks, providing access to blocked content without revealing your privacy even to VPN providers.
The application allows you to route only specific websites through the VPN, enabling you to use a simpler and cheaper server without slowing down access to most sites.
The program requires a VPS server running Ubuntu (officially supported version 18.04) or Debian (10). After launching Amnezia VPN, the app will prompt for the server IP, login, and password. It then connects via SSH and automatically installs all necessary server components within minutes. No special skills or extensive experience are required. The advantages over public VPN services are clear: your own VPN is faster, more stable, and more secure.
Amnezia VPN utilizes technologies from several open-source projects, including OpenSSL, OpenVPN, Shadowsocks, QT, CygWin, and others. Currently, it supports OpenVPN over Shadowsocks, with potential future support for WireGuard.
