XAMPP

A cross-platform Apache distribution that includes a variety of additional tools such as MySQL, PHP, and Perl. It is widely used as a local web server, making it an essential tool for creating and maintaining websites. The application provides developers with a simple and convenient way to test dynamic web pages without needing an Internet connection. It comes bundled with the latest versions of Mercury and Tomcat. With XAMPP, users can manage MySQL and SQLite databases and establish remote connections using the built-in FileZilla FTP server. By default, all services are stopped, so users need to manually start and administer the required services. In the settings, it’s possible to configure the control panel to run as a service and automatically activate selected modules on startup. Additionally, XAMPP allows you to set up a username and password for secure access.
